Tire Management Plans

Regional solid waste management boards are required by A.C.A. § 8-6-717 (c) to have a plan for the disposal or recycling of tires within their districts. Plan contents generally include: a description of the program service area; a description of the tire collection system and a list of the designated tire collection centers; information about program operations and financial management; information on tire recycling and/or beneficial use; information on illegal tire site investigation, enforcement, and closure; and any other pertinent information about the program, including fees for acceptance of non-program tires.

Below are the tire management plans submitted by the boards to DEQ in 2018 and 2019.

Act 317 (A.C.A. § 8-6-401 et. seq.) requires the Districts to submit a Tire Management Plan to the Department no later than December 31, 2017.
